Meet Louise Matthews - Louise, a passionate educator and performer originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, UK, brings a wealth of experience to our drama classes. She holds a BA Honours in Performance from Northumbria University and a PGCE in Education from Sunderland University, making her a qualified teacher. With a decade of teaching experience and 15 years in the performing arts as an actor and performer, Louise has worked in various countries, contributing to television, theatre, and film. She believes in the transformative power of theatre and education to unlock each child's potential. Since 2025, Louise has been delighted to be partnered with Treasure Chest Youth Theatre, where she is dedicated to inspiring young people in Hong Kong and providing them with opportunities to explore their creativity and express themselves through drama. Join us and let your child discover the magic of theatre!
Meet Kate Sullivan - With over 28 years of extensive experience in the performing arts industry and 23 years dedicated to teaching, Kate Sullivan is a respected actress, acting coach, drama specialist, and casting expert known internationally for her commitment to nurturing talent and fostering artistic growth. Kate’s acting career includes significant roles alongside renowned actors such as Anthony Hopkins (The Fastest Indian) and Nicole Kidman (Expats). She has appeared in television, theatre, film, and voice work across national and international productions. A specialist in talent representation and casting, Kate has played key roles in securing talent for major global television productions on platforms including Netflix, Amazon, BBC, HBO, and Sky Italia. Kate actively enables aspiring artists to accelerate their careers and achieve remarkable success. As an educator, Kate is deeply committed to unlocking the potential within each student by providing opportunities for growth and celebrating the diversity and cultural richness of her students. She firmly believes in the transformative power of education to empower individuals to discover and harness their unique strengths.
Meet Davina Carrete - Davina grew up in North West London and started doing drama, speech and LAMDA certifications but it wasn't until she joined the Young Pleasance at the age of 15 did she really get her foundational training. The Young Pleasance toured the west coast of the UK and Edinburgh Fringe Festival winning Fringe Firsts. The theatre in London was built as the youth theatre rehearsed in its first form. From there Davina has performed internationally as a musician, improviser and actor. Their highlights include performing at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Albert Hall on TV with Hugh Bonnerville, landing a role in an Amazon TV show in a scene with Nicole Kidman (even though later recast due to location) and performing at Melbourne Comedy Festival. Davina started Treasure Chest Theatre initially for classes and is delighted to make them available with her fantastic team. Davina truly believes in running classes and making new work and letting the students take ownership as Davina trains them with all the skills they need to be an excellent actor.
